I've been downhill skiing since I was four years old, though now I'm more likely to snowboard than ski on lift serviced terrain. These days most of my skiing is cross country -- primarily classic, occasionally skating. For serious backcountry, I've got some Alpine Touring bindings and Scarpa Denali boots.

In January, 1997 I was lucky enough to be cross-country skiing at Tug Hill when it received 77" of snow in 24 hours.  90" total for the storm.  It was (and I believe still is) the record for the contiguous 48 states.

My first two years back in Ithaca I had a season pass to Greek Peak. But now I've tired of skiing there and for the winter of 04-05 I didn't do any lift service skiing/snowboarding at all. Actually broke my snowboard bindings at the end of the previous season and still haven't installed the new pair I bought on ebay.
