Scouting Shanty Cliff for Odyssey. Drove up Thursday and climbed Little Gem Diner, Vernal Imperatives, Flying Friends, River View, Rocinha, and Life and Debt. Of those, I led Little Gem Diner and Flying Friends (which has a very pumpy start... placing gear on overhanging thin hands). We spent the night at the campsite near the road, then crossed the river again to climb for half a day on Friday. We climbed two routes not in our book somewhere right of Gunky Route. The first was a bolted route that I led at 5.6 A0 :) and the second was a moderate trad route that Emily led and I followed, then climbed again to help Grace clean her first anchor.
